What Would a BNP Government Mean for YOU?

As part of our pre-election campaign against the British National Party, we will be publishing a breakdown of their policies, and the reality of them in practice.

The purpose of this exercise is twofold; firstly it will show that what the BNP say and what they really mean are two very different things, and will also give you an idea of how YOUR life would be affected by a BNP government.

The BNP manifesto is shown in quotes, and our breakdown is shown in red text.

Since immigration is their favourite subject and preferred scapegoat, let's first take a closer look at their policies and break them down.

Quote:

IMMIGRATION – time to say ENOUGH!

On current demographic trends, we, the native British people, will be an ethnic minority in our own country within sixty years.

Straight in with a useless and easily blown apart slice of rhetoric; current trends are called that for a reason – they are CURRENT. Trends rarely follow the same path along a 60-year period. So straight away, here is a thinly-veiled lie, dressed up as a plausible statistic.

You will also notice that, despite this claim, there are no figures of any kind to back it up with. The BNP excepts it’s supporters to not check these ‘facts’ it presents.

Quote:

To ensure that this does not happen, and that the British people retain their homeland and identity, we call for an immediate halt to all further immigration,

Immigration is being blamed for this alleged threat. They are overlooking the simple fact that, many non white people are born here – and have had family ties here for many, many years – aswell as ignoring the fact that a big part of the population boom in the UK is due to us having the highest teen pregnancy rates by far in Western Europe.

Basically, immigrants are being scapegoated for problems occuring among what the BNP would call the ‘Indigenous population’.

Quote:

the immediate deportation of criminal and illegal immigrants,

I wonder if this would cut both ways? If British criminals in overseas prisons would be deported back here? I wonder if we would have a choice, after deporting our foreign criminals?

Frankly, I wonder if the BNP have even thought of this?

Quote:

and the introduction of a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by a generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question.

In other words, those who the BNP do not deem British enough to stay here will be bribed into leaving. Just how generous an amount are we talking here? And why would they expect those who have fled wars etc to come here would take any amount of money to go back to their homeland?

What do they plan to do with those who refuse the bribe? Insider whispers that have been shared with us suggest that if the BNP gain power, they will make these repatriations non-voluntary.

Quote:

We will abolish the ‘positive discrimination’ schemes that have made white Britons second-class citizens.

No explanation of this ‘positive discrimination’ is given, so allow me to give you the ACTUAL definition, and not some convoluted version the BNP might be using and encouraging their supporters to use (deliberate misuse of terms is a common theme among propagandists, as is inventing a new meaning for established terms and using it as though it is common parlance. Most of their supporters display no understanding of the accepted definitions of these words and become angry and abusive when told they are using them incorrectly).

Also known as affirmative action, the term ‘positive discrimination’ refers to policies that take race, ethnicity, physical disabilities, gender, or a person's social class into consideration in an attempt to promote equal opportunity. For example, an interviewer might choose to interview an appropriate balance of black, white and Asian people for a job. This is to represent an accurate picture or British society.

The BNP, however, have assigned a rather more sinister meaning to this concept. They allege that, rather than making things fair and equal for all, it gives priority to people who are not of ‘indigenous origin’. They claim it is 'anti-British', and allows migrants and non whites eover the 'indigenous population'. This is not true. If it were, there would surely be widespread calls of racism from the white population?

This is a classic example of them manipulating words and phases, and adapting them to their divisive politics.

ALWAYS double-check the meaning of any term used by the BNP, as the chances are, they are deliberately misusing it in order to demonise something or someone. This is one of the oldest tricks in the racist’s arsenal.

Quote:

We will also clamp down on the flood of ‘asylum seekers’, all of whom are either bogus or can find refuge much nearer their home countries.

This alleged ‘flood’ of asylum seekers is in fact nothing of the sort. Statistics show we take far less than many other countries, and the numbers allowed into the UK reflect proportionately how many we CAN take.

It may surprise you to know that of all the asylum applications we receive here, only around 17% are approved.

As for bogus cases.... figures vary, and obviously an accurate one is impossible to pin down. However, Home Office stats recently quoted it as around 200,000 illegal immigrants. The BNP reported this as ‘over 2 million’.

Another common lie being employed here is that asylum seekers coming from Africa, for example, have to pass through ‘numerous safe countries before arriving here’. Well, that rather depends on how they get here, doesn’t it? I can’t imagine, for example, that a cargo ship destined for Southampton will make an unscheduled stop at Bruges just in case it has stowaways on board! Equally, if people are given plane tickets by officials in the country they are fleeing from, I cannot see them arguing the toss about the destination; would you care where you were going, if you were fleeing a war zone?
